White paper sleeve. Pressed on 7″ wax for the first time, Nickodemus teams up with Golden Era Hip Hop legends The Jungle Brothers for “Afrokinetic”-a hypnotic Afro-funk groove built on Mamadou Tangoudia’s 80s track “Kori.” With verses from Baby Bam Afrika & Mike G, plus added drums and congas by Nickodemus, the track blends raw lyricism with global rhythms. On the flip side, Monk-One (Wax Poetics) amps up the tempo with heavy funk, live instrumentation, and playful Boom Bap energy. Monk-One’s blend of funk, house, and hip hop references perfectly complements the track’s spirited vibe. Original artwork by BAM ties the music to street style and live shows worldwide.
